The Dayton Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center is planning to acquire and install a Nurse Call V system specifically for the X-ray, MRI, and oncology areas. This procurement will be conducted as a sole source under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), allowing negotiation with only one vendor, Rauland SoundCom Systems, due to the compatibility needs with their existing Rauland Responder 5 Nurse Call system already in use at the hospital. The contract covers the supply of new head-end cabinets, pull cord stations for restrooms, corridor visual alarm lighting, nurse station master consoles, and all necessary electronic connectors and wiring, along with service, installation, and ongoing maintenance. The notice invites other parties interested and capable of providing similar services to express their interest by a specified deadline, though the government may still decide to proceed without competition. The scope aims to ensure a seamless integration and operational consistency within the hospital’s existing infrastructure. All inquiries are required to be submitted via email by the deadline, and no solicitation package is currently available. The contract falls under NAICS code 335999 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The designated contracting specialist for this effort is Tiera Sims.
