This is a pre-solicitation notice. NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound will be soliciting for Fiber Optic Cabling and Related Components to support base infrastructure in accordance with solicitation specifications. The materials will be utilized in support of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station Far East (NCTS-FE), Japan at the Main Base Diego Garcia. This acquisition is anticipated to be negotiated on a sole source basis per FAR 6.302 with the following manufacturers’ products: Corning, Preformed Line Products, Panduit, Maxell, American Fujikura Ltd., Fluke Network, and Condux International Inc. Additional items will be procured on a Brand Name or Equal basis. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to the offer due date, which will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. A single award will be made for all line items. Terms will be F.O.B. Destination to Main Base Diego Garcia. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted to the GPE on or about 02 Sept 2016 with proposals due by 16 September 2016. A Firm-Fixed Price, Supply type contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Subpart 13.5, utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable evaluation procedures.
