The 50th Contracting Squadron at Schriever Air Force Base intends to award a sole source purchase order to Jenco Technologies, Inc., a HUBZone small business, for the acquisition of a SIMULSAT ANTENNA LINK. This fiber optic link will connect the parking lot to the operations laboratory within Schriever’s Restricted Area, facilitating the conversion of frequencies from 100 MHz to 18 GHz into fiber optics and back to RF signals inside the lab. The system includes built-in redundancy and is supported by Jenco’s 24/7 customer service with a response time under three hours in case of failure. Due to the limited and lengthy access process to the restricted area, the proximity of Jenco Technologies to the base is a critical factor in this procurement. This procurement will be conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, with a closing date for this notice set for September 11, 2007. The acquisition reference number is F3RT147206A001, and the NAICS code is 517410. An ombudsman has been appointed to facilitate resolution of any concerns regarding the procurement while maintaining confidentiality, although parties are required to first address issues with the contracting officer. Key points of contact include Contract Specialist Rachel Williams and Contracting Officer Gregory Passig, who can provide additional information. The announcement constitutes the only notice of this proposed sole source award.
