AI Contract Overview

The Santa Fe Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) initially invested in the Urban SDK Platform in late 2021 to enhance their transportation data capabilities with the goal of improving street safety in Santa Fe. Over the course of two years, MPO staff received extensive training on this proprietary platform, enabling advanced multivariate data analysis through its dashboard and studio features. Previously, data sets were created using costly and specialized expertise, but the Urban SDK Platform centralized and streamlined this process. By 2023, the platform was instrumental in providing the City's Complete Streets Division with detailed, accessible data analysis accumulated over four years, now maintained within the dashboard. Recognizing its value, the Public Works Department in 2024 initiated a sole source contracting process to secure continued access to this platform for three additional years. The current contract solicitation, titled "60-M0087-26-CP041 - City Traffic Data Software License/Renewal," was posted in February 2026 by the New Mexico Purchasing Office. This solicitation seeks to renew the software license for the Urban SDK Platform, ensuring ongoing support for the Complete Streets Division’s data needs. The contract continues the partnership under a sole source arrangement, reflecting the platform's unique role and significant contribution to the city’s transportation planning efforts. Key contacts for the solicitation include the MPO Division Director, Erick Aune, and Procurement Analyst Kristy Miera, both based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The renewal process underscores the city’s commitment to leveraging advanced data analytics to promote safer, more efficient streets.

In the fall of 2021 the Santa Fe MPO invested in the Urban SDK Platform to enrich our transportation data portfolio to support safer streets in Santa Fe. MPO staff spent 2 years training on this proprietary platform with an array of data that with use of the dashboard and studio can do what has been unprecedented multivariate data analysis. Prior to this investment data sets were created separated with high costs via specialized expertise. By 2023 we had been able to support the City's Complete Streets Division with detailed data analysis that now rests within the Dashboard platform. We can retrieve and review data sets that were developed over the past 4 years. In 2024 the Public Works Department felt that platform was an invaluable asset for the Complete Street Division Team and began the 3 year sole source contracting process.
