AI Contract Overview
This contract involves a sole source requirement for repairing one unit of a generator alternator identified by NSN 6115-011149696, part number 70550-02031-111, designated as a Critical Application Item (CAI). The repair is to be performed under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia. Due to insufficient data for contracting with any source other than the current one, the government is limiting award to the established source, which must have prior government source approval. Offers lacking complete source approval data, as outlined in the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Brochure, will not be considered. The item is subject to applicable Free Trade Agreements and the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement. The contract specifies an induction period of 365 calendar days from the award date, with the government reserving the right to extend it an additional 365 days, allowing for carryover of unused induction slots into the second year. Pricing must cover up to ten units over the contract period, including options, with separate pricing for any changes in the second year. The government may place an initial order for any quantity up to the maximum units specified, and contract value calculations will use the highest proposed unit price times the maximum number of units. Interested parties should contact Mrs. Dana Scott for further information, and proposals are due by May 2, 2026.
