This contract involves the procurement of a single starter motor (NSN 7H-6110-015789883, TDP VER 001) to be delivered to the Distribution Depot Puget Sound in Bremerton, Washington. The item is identified as a sole-source part, with the Navy lacking the technical data required for its production. Only sources approved by the In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA), specifically those certified as Depot Overhaul Points (DOP), are eligible to supply or repair this item. Companies interested in becoming an approved repair source must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) for review by NAVSEA, a process that can be lengthy. Offers for remanufactured, surplus, or repair services will not be considered. The government intends to negotiate solely with one source under FAR 6.302-1, but other responsible sources may express their interest and capability within 45 days of the notice. The contract is set aside for small businesses under the SBA, and the solicitation emphasizes compliance with trade agreements and domestic sourcing policies. The procurement is managed by the Naval Supply Systems Command, and additional details can be obtained through the designated contracting officer.

Solicitation # N0010427RZ058
The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support is conducting market research through Request for Information N0010427RZ058 to identify qualified sources capable of designing, producing, and delivering piece part components or entire assemblies using additive manufacturing methods. The government is specifically interested in vendors who can produce items such as valves, actuators, and manifolds, as identified in the candidate NIIN list. All end items must meet mandated quality assurance requirements, including non-destructive testing and specific dimensional tolerances detailed in the technical data packages. This notice is for information gathering only and does not constitute a solicitation or a binding contract. The government is seeking detailed information on vendor facilities, equipment, and certifications such as ISO 9001 and AS9100, as well as past performance with similar military or commercial hardware. Additionally, the agency is requesting industry feedback on objective evaluation criteria for future competitive awards and the structuring of performance-based incentives within Firm-Fixed-Price contracts. Interested vendors must submit their administrative details and capability statements in PDF format to the designated point of contact by October 22, 2026.
