NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - Remote Switch Kit for Pad Mount XFMR The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Basin (LCB), intends to negotiate and award a contract on a non-competitive basis, to CBS ArcSafe Inc, 2616 Sirius Road, Denton, TX 76208-1053. Yuma Area Office (YAO) has a requirement for a device that can be used to open or close the switches on the high voltage or primary side of a pad mount transformer without having to expose an electrician to the energized conductors on the transformer secondary. The proposed action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authorities of FAR 13.501 and FAR 6.302-1(c). The RSK-PMT System Kit by CBS ArcSafe is the only known product that keeps electricians outside of the arc-flash hazard boundary while performing potentially dangerous electrical tasks. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) identified for this action is 335999 - All Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing.
