The Department of Veterans Affairs, through Network Contracting Office 17 in San Antonio, Texas, is conducting market research to identify capable vendors for the procurement of 41 units of Accu Option Backup Battery Pack, Part Number 7102244, intended for use with Dialog+ Dialysis Units at the VA North Texas Health Care System in Dallas, Texas. This sources sought notice is not a solicitation and does not obligate the government to award a contract; its purpose is solely to gather information to determine the appropriate procurement strategy—whether sole source, small business set-aside, or unrestricted—by evaluating vendor capabilities, availability, and pricing. Respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide their SAM UID number along with business name, address, point of contact details, NAICS code 622110, and certification of business size as either small or large. A critical requirement is the submission of an authorization letter from the original equipment manufacturer, confirming direct sourcing of the batteries, which must be brand new and FDA-approved where applicable. The batteries must fully support critical dialysis functions including safe completion of treatment cycles, storage of patient data, and safe return of blood to the patient in the event of primary power failure. Response must be submitted via email to Contract Specialist Mariangie Rios Vazquez by 8:00 a.m. Central Standard Time on June 22, 2026, with the exact subject line “36C25726R0101_01, Sources Sought Notice.” Contractors are encouraged to include any existing GSA or VA Federal Supply Schedule contract information and may optionally provide estimated market research pricing to aid in strategy development, though pricing submissions are not mandatory. The government is particularly interested in identifying small business capable of fulfilling this requirement and may consider location within the U.S. as an evaluation factor in future solicitations. Contractors must also comply with VA information security directives, including FIPS 140-2 encrypted transmission of sensitive data, adherence to VA Handbook 6500 for password and media sanitization standards, and restrictions on personal use of government systems. Personnel may be subject to VA background investigation requirements under Directive 0710, and all contractor employees must complete VA records management training and comply with any applicable COVID-19 safety protocols when accessing VA facilities. The contract, if awarded, will require delivery within five business days of award, and a VA Medical
