Full Description
Cincinnati VAMC Biomedical Department currently utilizes OEM s ventilators and batteries. Some of the current life support equipment are receiving battery end of service life messages. The requested batteries are the only equipment that will integrate with the existing Medtronic PB980 Ventilator systems. The specifications needed by the end-user could not be met or shown compatible with any other product examined. In the interest of consistency, compatibility, interchangeability, and ability to continue with current services, it is in the best interest of the VA to remain with OEM equipment. A firm-fixed price contract with no option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
