An estimated 20,000 pounds of Inconel 625 scrap is being offered for sale at Anniston Army Depot in Anniston, Alabama, with government-owned equipment used to load the material into the purchaser’s conveyance. Buyers must ensure their vehicles do not exceed 12.5 feet in height from ground level, as depot loading equipment cannot safely handle taller vehicles. Access to the military installation is strictly controlled and available only by confirmed appointment between Monday and Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with no access on Federal holidays. All visitors must present a valid U.S. driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance, may be subject to background checks and vehicle inspections, and are required to provide identifying information such as Social Security numbers. Alcohol, illegal drugs, and firearms are prohibited, and individuals with outstanding warrants may be detained. An escort is required at all times on the installation, and advance appointments are mandatory for both inspections and removals. Purchasers may authorize another party to remove the material, but written authorization and copies of the purchase receipt along with photo ID must be presented by the representative. The condition of the scrap is sold as-is, with no warranties on quantity, quality, or description, and buyers are advised to review all documentation prior to bidding.
