The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, through the National Acquisition Center and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, plans to negotiate a sole source firm-fixed price contract with Monitron, Inc. This contract intends to procure specific replacement parts for the existing Monitron surveillance system, including various transmitter sensors, geophone seismic sensor probes, mobile and handheld monitors, and repeater encoders. The procurement will strictly involve replacement parts compatible with the current Monitron system, with no intention to replace the entire system. This is an urgent requirement, and while the government does not seek multiple awards or competitive quotes, it invites other firms that believe they can supply equivalent parts compatible with the existing system to submit written notification and supporting documentation within five calendar days of the notice's publication. Submissions must be sent in writing to the designated contracting officer, John Callahan, at the specified address, with no telephone submissions accepted. The government will evaluate any responses but retains sole discretion over whether to proceed with competitive procurement or move forward with the sole source contract to Monitron, Inc. If no suitable responses are received, the sole source contract will be awarded.
