THUMS Long Beach Co. (THUMS) proposes a non-expansion project consisting of twelve (12) active and idle Oil & Gas wells that, with project approval, will be converted to injection (CTI). The main objective of this water injection project is to economically maximize oil recovery and manage subsidence within the permitted area. This project is implemented in accordance with all county, state, and federal safety and environmental rules and regulations. The proposed project consists of the California Department of Conservation, Geologic Energy Management Division (CalGEM) issuing one revised project approval letter (PAL) to THUMS Long Beach Co. for the modification of Underground Injection Control (UIC) project No. 84945001, located within the Wilmington Oil Field in Los Angeles Offshore County.
