The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center intends to negotiate an urgent purchase order on a sole source basis to Phillips Healthcare Home Healthcare Solutions of Bend, Oregon for 47 each actiwatch monitoring systems. This requirement is being issued on a sole source basis as these actiwatch monitoring systems are only available through Respironics company and their sole distributor Phillips/Respironics as their exists existing proprietary technology of actiwatch monitoring system and the unique combination of subsystems comprise the Respironics Mini-mitter product line. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all quotes received within two days (small purchase procedures are being used and urgency) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether or not to compete the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
