The Department of Veterans Affairs' Memphis VA Medical Center intends to issue a sole source procurement for additional Tru-D SmartUVC disinfection devices by placing a firm-fixed priced delivery order against Tru-D’s existing GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract. This decision is based on the Medical Center’s prior purchase and established use of three Tru-D SmartUVC devices, ensuring operational continuity and reducing administrative complexity. The procurement aligns with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations and VA policies, specifically targeting NAICS code 335129 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Medical Center plans to acquire three additional units and is not considering alternative options unless another vendor can demonstrate compatibility with the current Tru-D device. Interested parties are invited to submit evidence of their capability to supply a compatible device by a specified deadline, but the Government retains full discretion in whether to proceed with competitive procurement. This notice does not guarantee contract award or payment for information submitted and serves primarily to inform the market of the impending sole source procurement. The Government emphasizes that submitted responses may be used as deemed appropriate, but no formal feedback will necessarily be provided to respondents. Following review of the responses, the Government may publish a formal solicitation; however, responses to this notice alone do not constitute a formal bid or proposal.
