Full Description

VA Illiana Health Care System, 1900 E. Main Street, Danville, Illinois 61832, intends to negotiate a sole source requirement with the American Red Cross of Peoria, Illinois for Blood Products and Testing. American Red Cross of Peoria is the only blood bank within the region able to provide both the products and the testing required by IHCS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested offerors may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by providing a capability statement and qualifications which must contain specific information on supplying this type of product in accordance with the Food and Drug Administration and American Association of Blood Banks rules, regulations, and guidelines. No solicitation will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received within 10 calendar days after the date of submission of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. NAICS code 621991 applies.
