The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Boston Scientific Corp., 100 Boston Scientific Way, Marlborough, MA 01752 for an Alair Bronchial Thermoplasty System. The Alair Bronchial Thermoplasty System is used for the treatment of severe persistent asthma for patients, where their asthma is not well controlled with inhaled corticosteroids and long-acting beta-agonists.
