The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Veterans Integrated Network Systems (VISN) 16 through the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System (SLVHCS) in New Orleans, intends to award a firm fixed price, sole source contract to A-DEC, located in Newburg, Oregon, for the procurement of dental chairs and delivery systems. This decision is based on A-DEC being the exclusive provider and maintainer of the specified equipment, and the procurement is executed under FAR 6.302-1, which allows for non-competitive contracts when only one responsible source exists that can fulfill the agency's requirements. The contract falls under the NAICS code 423450, and no solicitation documents are available, nor will telephone inquiries be entertained. However, other firms are invited to submit a written or electronic notification within three days of this announcement if they believe they can meet the requirements, supported by evidence of their capability to supply the stated products within a reasonable timeframe. Responses will be evaluated solely to decide if a competitive procurement is necessary, but the final decision to proceed with the sole source award rests exclusively with the government. If no timely responses are received, the contract will be awarded to A-DEC as planned. All communications regarding this contract must be directed to the Contracting Officer, Gilda M. Johnson, at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System's Contracting Office, via mail, fax, or email as specified.
