DESCRIPTION: The NF/SG Veterans Healthcare System, Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608 intends to negotiate with EDWARDS LIFESCIENCES on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1; to purchase several different sizes of HEART VALVES: Heart Valve, 19MM, Model 3000TFX, Perimount Magna Percardial Aortic Biosprothesis with Thermafix Process Heart Valve, 21MM, Model 3000TFX, Perimount Magna Percardial Aortic Biosprothesis with Thermafix Process Heart Valve, 25MM, Model 3000TFX, Perimount Magna Percardial Aortic Biosprothesis with Thermafix Process Heart Valve, 29MM, Model 3000TFX, Perimount Magna Percardial Aortic Biosprothesis with Thermafix Process Heart Valve, Model 7000TFX, SIZE 27MM 31mm Heart Valve Model 7000TFX 33mm Heart Valve Model 7000TFX Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Exact match, no substitution will be acceptable. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 339113. Responses should be sent to contact@example.gov no later than 06/24/2010. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
