The Department of Veterans Affairs at the John D. Dingell Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan, is seeking a contractor to provide twenty-four 2008t hemodialysis machines with CDX, including installation and full integration with an existing Fresenius system. The agreement requires a trade-in credit for fifteen 2008k machines, with the specific condition that the facility retains two of these older units to continue performing Sustained Low-Efficiency Dialysis procedures. This retention is necessary because the new 2008t models lack SLED capability, which is not expected to be available for approximately 18 months pending FDA approval. This request for information aims to identify small businesses capable of meeting these specific equipment and trade-in terms. While the action was originally set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, the set-aside may be dissolved depending on the responses received regarding the retention of the two 2008k units. Interested bidders must be registered in the System for Award Management and follow the electronic solicitation process via the Federal Business Opportunities website under NAICS code 334510.
