The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to make a formal single award for the provision of 30 Hospital Low Beds. Our minimum specifications include the following: Pan deck height descends to at least 9" above the floor or less and raises to at least 28" for lifting. The bed should have wheels and should roll at any height. Side rails should be at least 15" above the deck. There should be electric hand controls, which are fluid proof. Each bed should have head, foot, and bed elevation with forward and reverse trendelenburg. Weight capacity must be at least 500 lbs, and each bed should include a therapeutic mattress to aid in the prevention of pressure ulcer development. Deliveries will be made to the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, 1900 West Sunshine Street, Springfield, Missouri, 65807. The solicitation is unrestricted, FOB Destination, and is a firm-fixed price contract. The Government will award to the responsible contractor whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is considered to be most advantageous to the Government. The solicitation will be available on or about February 11, 2008, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is on or about February 25, 2008. Payments will be made using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
