The Department of Veterans Affairs, through the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, intends to enter into a sole source contract with Atrium Medical Corporation for the procurement of iCast Stents. This action is being conducted under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), which permits non-competitive negotiations when only one responsible source is capable of fulfilling the agency’s requirements, in this case due to the unique specification of the iCAST™ balloon expandable covered stent, which is FDA 510(k) cleared specifically for treating tracheobronchial strictures. The government believes that no other supplies or services meet the technical and regulatory requirements necessary for this contract. Interested parties are invited to demonstrate their interest and capability to meet the requirement by a specified deadline, August 16, 2016, at 5 PM EST. No formal solicitation is currently available, and inquiries are directed to the government point of contact via email. The contract focuses on the acquisition of the medical device under NAICS code 334510, reflecting the intent to maintain a direct and exclusive procurement from Atrium Medical Corporation for the specified product.
