*** INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE*** VISN 23 anticipates awarding a sole-source 1 year, bridge IDIQ contract to PDS Consultants, for the continued performance of prescription eyeglasses for VISN 23 veterans as indicated within the contract documents. NAICS code # 339115, applies to this procurement. The bridge contract is for prescription eyeglasses and will be in place until a new long-term contract has been awarded. VISN23 anticipates putting a solicitation out within the next 3-6 months for the new contract and will be solicitating for all offers at that time. Failure to award this bridge will result in a major degradation to direct patient care to possibly hundreds of veterans across VISN 23.The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-2. No solicitation will be issued for this contract. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based solely within the discretion of the Government.
