Full Description

Description: Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for small fragment LCP instrument sets containing various screws, washers, kirschner wires, drill bits, and general instrumentation used for orthopedic surgery to mend fractures internally from Synthes Corporation, 1690 Russell Road, Paoli, PA 19301.The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because Synthes Corporation is the sole manufacturer of this type of equipment. Synthes Corporation holds all proprietary rights to the small fragment LCP sets.
