The Department of Veterans Affairs, through the Network Contract Office 12 in Milwaukee, WI, is conducting market research via a Sources Sought notice to assess vendor interest and capability for supplying neuromuscular blocking agent (NMBA) monitors with nerve locator functionality for use in the Anesthesiology Division at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. The requirement is for 20 devices capable of monitoring anesthesia-induced neuromuscular blockage and locating nerves via electrical stimulation during perioperative care. Key features include multiple stimulating modes such as Train-of-Four and Post Tetanic Count, continuous numerical and graphical feedback, nerve contact monitoring, compatibility with snap or grabber lead wires, portability with battery operation, and size and weight constraints. On-site training for approximately 50 users over one week and user manuals for each device are also required. This is strictly a market research effort, not a solicitation or request for proposal, with no current obligation for government procurement. Interested vendors, including small businesses, veteran-owned, and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, are invited to submit capability statements and relevant company information by January 24, 2018. Responses are to demonstrate qualifications and ability to meet the detailed specifications and must include business and contact details, applicable contract numbers, and distributor authorization if relevant.
