Health Care Acquisition Activity-North intends to issue a contract to GE Company, 3000 N Grandview Blvd W-443, Waukesha, WI 53188-1615, for a GE Digital Energy Signature 5000 Series power supply/bypass panel, for use at Ireland Army Community Hospital, Fort Knox, KY. The purchase will be made under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The UPS System provides protection against power fluctuation which can cause damage to GE's MRI equipment and cause injury to the patient. This equipment meets the hospital's existing requirements. This requirement will be procured in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13, using simplified acquisition procedures. NAICS code is 423450. Small Business offerors certain they can meet the requirement may submit in writing an affirmative response and statement of technical capabilities, which will be reviewed. All written responses must include a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information demonstrating their ability to meet the above requirement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Affirmative written response must be received no later than 2PM Eastern Standard Time on 15 August 2012.
