65--Notice of Intent for Sole Source for Fusion ENT Navigation System Software Repair

Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Western Regional Contracting Office(WRCO), Tacoma, WA, intends to issue a sole source award to Medtronic in the amount of $27,500.00 to purchase Software to replace failing Nexstone software in the Fusion ENT Navigation System for the Bassett Army Community Hospital, Ft. Wainright. The software program will not load, This allows our surgeons to make more informed decisions in the middle of a procedure. It allows the doctors to enter arteries and other areas of the patient for a more accurate operation. It also allows the doctors to navigate the sinuses for precise removal of diseased tissue while avoiding critical areas. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for proposal and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with the notice of intent. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications.
