Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source The Southern Region Contracting Office, Fort Hood, Texas intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price sole source contract to Bio-Rad Laboratories, a large business, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(b), Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized , on or before 1 July 2015, for molecular gastroenterology, respiratory and blood culture assay test kits for the BioFire Film Array System used in the Microbiology Laboratory at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Building 36000, Fort Hood, Texas, 76544. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 325413 and the size standard is 500. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency before the intended award date.
