Full Description

The Pacific Regional Contracting Office at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii intends to award a sole source contract to Oculus, Inc. for the Oculus Pentacam HR System. This is the only system compatible with existing government-owned Oculus Pentacam camera and sofware. Oculus, Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor of this system. The statutory authority permitting this award without providing for full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as cited in FAR 6.302-1(a) which authorizes the government to award contracts when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
