Department of Veterans Affairs VA MidSouth Healthcare Network (VISN 9) Notice of Intent to Sole Source: The Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Mountain Home, PO Box 4000, Mountain Home, TN 38104 intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Radiology Information Systems for the purchase of VistA Imaging Software, which is a medical device, PowerPACS Web Server system. The NAICS code for these supplies is 541511 Radiology Information Systems, Inc. with a size standard of $25.0. The Government believes that Radiology Information Systems, Inc. is the only authorized provider for the VistA Imaging Web Server System required because of the uniqueness due to being approved by the National VA VistA Imaging Team; to the government’s knowledge, there is no other solution that is approved that will meet this need. This is a sole source procurement utilizing, 38 U.S.C. 8153 and Other than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes, however; any firm that believes it can provide these supplies may give written notification to the Contract Specialist, no later than 4:00 PM EST, May 6, 2011. Supporting evidence of ability to perform this service must be furnished in sufficient detail, to include that the specialized VistA Rad PACS viewing station is approved at the National Level to the Contract Specialist Alanna Crawford via email address: contact@example.gov. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, VA will proceed with the sole source negotiation to Radiology Information Systems, Inc for the required VistA Imaging Software.
