65--Regius Upgrade

The Cincinnati VA Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Konica Minolta USA Imaging, Inc. to purchase a CR System Control Station consisting of the following componentents: pt#5900775FR Factory Refresh Service R170/CS1, pt#5900775 Factory Refresh Service CS1 to CS3, Xpress Cassette/Plate 14x17, Xpress Cassette/Plate 14x14, Xpress Cassette/Plate 11x14, Xpress Cassette/Plate 10x12. Konica Minolta USA Imaging is the only manufacturer that can satisfy the agency requirements. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with sole source procurement for the required supplies and or services. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. To the best of our knowledge, Konica Minolta USA Imaging, Wayne, NJ is the only source that provides the above indicated items and features. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Cincinnati VA Medical Center will precede with the sole source negotiation with Konica Minolta USA Imaging, Wayne, NJ.
