The VA VISN 22 Network 22 Logistics Office, Long Beach California intends to enter into a sole source contract with Siemens Medical Solutions. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1-only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The North American IndustryClassification System Code (NAICS) is 334517. The WLA Healthcare System intends to procure the services of Siemens to repair a Siemens Artis Bi-Plane X Ray machine. Bi-Plane and tubing are not operational and need replacement. HR-Heliflex with rotation BV 40 P/N 5236042 CPU module BSR needs replacement. Additional parts and services are VB-40, BSR Module, CMF and labor. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
