The Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Cincinnati, Ohio intends to enter into a sole source contract with Covidien Sales LLC dba Given Imaging to provide the SB Pillcam package to include: pill recorder kit, cradle kit, sensor belt, software kit, license and Pillcam patency capsule, for the GI Lab. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS Code 423450, Medical, Dental, and Hospital Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers, applies and the size standard is 200 employees. Covidien Sales LLC dba Given Imaging is classified as other than a small business concern. To the best of our knowledge, Covidien Sales LLC dba Given Imaging is the only vendor who can provide these items. Any responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government as to whether to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
