The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (VAGCVHCS) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Alliant Healthcare, Inc., to purchase Stryker instruments, for Surgery Service at Biloxi, MS. The NAICS code for this procurement is 423450, with a size standard of 100 employees. Stryker is the only manufacturer that can satisfy the agency requirements. To the best of our knowledge, Alliant Healthcare, Inc., is the only source that provides the above indicated items. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this procurement. This is a notice of intent to sole source and is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. The solicitation will be made available on or about March 4, 2011. This solicitation will be made available on-line at http://www.fedbizops.gov.
