The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport LA intends to enter into a sole source consignment contract with Kinetic Concepts Inc for "Rental of KCI Wound V.A.C. Advanced Therapy System" Units designed for higher acuity wounds for patients in acute care and long-term settings. This announcement constitutes the only notice issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.301, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and pen competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The NAICS 446199 applies to this requirement with a size standard of $6.5 Million. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will consider all responses to this notice by 2:00 p.m. (CST) December 23, 2008. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses must be in writing to the Contracting Officer.
