The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network 7 (VISN 7), is organizing a vendor industry fair focused on medical beds and bedding equipment to support eight medical facilities in the Southeast Region. The event aims to create a platform for vendors to showcase emerging and current bedding technologies, foster collaboration, and exchange knowledge to advance standardized medical bedding solutions across VA Medical Facility Centers and community living centers. This special notice serves to gather information and identify interested vendors who can demonstrate products that meet specific characteristics outlined by VISN 7, but it is not a solicitation and will not result in a binding contract. Vendors must submit a capability statement via email by 2:00 PM EST on December 11, 2018, including detailed and tailored information about their products and organizational capabilities. Selection for participation will be based on submitted responses, and space is limited. The vendor fair will be held on December 18, 2018, at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia, and each company is allowed up to three representatives, with the VA retaining the right to reduce attendees to one to manage space constraints. The fair will emphasize demonstrations and discussions to support innovation and standardization in medical bedding, encouraging vendors to present relevant products such as mattresses, covers, accessories, and components. Vendors, including those that are service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, are urged to contribute feedback and proposed discussion topics to help the VA refine its approach to medical bedding solutions. All costs incurred by vendors in relation to this market research effort will be their responsibility, and the VA disclaims liability for any expenses or damages. Questions about the event’s logistics can be directed to the designated contact at the VA, and updates or addenda regarding the notice will be issued as necessary.
