Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System, VISN 1, at the White River Junction VA Medical Center (WRJVAMC), Network Contracting Office 1- intends to procure via sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, with manufacturer Carl Zeiss Meditec and authorized reseller Metro Medical, for the purchase a Zeiss Visucam Pro with related parts and accessories in for the White River Junction VA Medical Center located at 215 North Main Street White River Junction, VT 05001-3833. The items that are being purchased in the description of services below must be compatible with the current Zeiss equipment and software. The applicable NAICS code for this procurement is 339113. The size standard is 500 employees. The FSC is 6515. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 - "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy." A firm fixed price contract with no option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement, and it is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. Description of Services 1.) ZEISS O/S | VISUCAM PRO NM W/PRINTER & TABLE. 2.) ZEISS O/S | HFA 750i W/TABLE INCLUDING USB, DICOM GATEWAY 2.0, DG 2.0 LICENSE, NETPRO, GPA, SITA SWAP & KINETIC. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, but this notice of intent to sole source IS NOT a request for competitive quotations, proposals, or an invitation for bids. Interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement must submit information about their capabilities no later than 2:00 PM EST, 09/02/2014. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government and will not be returned. No solicitation will be made available, as it is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. Any information in response to this notice must be sent to the Contracting Officer by email only to contact@example.gov. Responses received will be examined and evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
