The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order to Sirtex Medical Inc. for the procurement of SIR-Spheres Y90 Resin Microspheres and associated accessory kits for the Bay Pines VA Health Care System. The requirement includes ten dose and administration kits, one delivery dome, ten prep sets, and ten delivery sets. This procurement is justified as a sole source action due to the unique, specialized, and proprietary nature of the supplies, which the government believes only Sirtex Medical Inc. can provide. While this notice is not a formal request for competitive proposals, interested parties may submit quotations and evidence of their capability to meet the requirements to determine if a competitive procurement is warranted. All responses must be submitted to the contracting officer, Cindy Smith, by 10 AM Eastern Standard Time on September 14, 2026. If no qualified responses are received, the government will proceed with the sole source acquisition from the identified vendor.
