The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, intends to award a sole source purchase order for the acquisition of CEREC Primescan AC TP systems, including on-site training and disposable camera sleeves, to support the Dental Service at Durham VA Medical Center. The system is a high-resolution, heated intraoral 3D scanner equipped with a removable reflective sleeve, integrated image processing, touchpad, hand and foot controls, USB and network connectivity, and a 21.5-inch LED display, designed to enable digital dental impressions that replace traditional methods. This technology is critical for reducing fabrication and shipping times, lowering material and logistical costs, and improving patient comfort by eliminating conventional impression techniques. The equipment must be fully compatible with existing contracted dental laboratory systems to maintain workflow continuity. The period of performance is one year from the date of award, with delivery and performance required at the facility located at 508 Fulton St, Durham, NC 27705. The procurement is classified under NAICS code 339114 for Dental Equipment and Supplies Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 750 employees, and PSC code 6515 for Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. This action is being conducted as a source sought announcement and notice of intent for a sole source acquisition justified under FAR 12.102 due to the specialized nature of the equipment and its essential integration with current infrastructure and laboratory interfaces. No formal solicitation exists, and competitive quotations are not being solicited. However, any entity believing it can meet the specified requirements may submit a written response by 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on May 7, 2026, to Ricardo McIntosh at Ricardo.McIntosh@va.gov with the subject line “CEREC PRIM Sources Sought.” Responses must include the company name and address, business size (large or small), identification of any applicable socioeconomic classifications such as 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, or Veteran-Owned Small Business, and a brief description of qualifications demonstrating the capability to supply the required systems, training, and accessories. All submissions must be in writing, and telephone inquiries will not be accepted. The Government retains sole discretion to proceed with a sole source award or to open the acquisition to competition based on responses received.
