The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 05, Washington DC Medical Center, is pursuing a firm-fixed-price, sole-source contract for the acquisition of upgraded digital Urology and ENT scopes and video technology. This procurement aims to replace outdated fiber-optic technology with digital standards of care to improve diagnostic image quality for patients in clinics and operating rooms. The requirement includes 25 digital cystoscopes, 40 digital ENT scopes, various sterilization trays, Telepacks, camera heads, and associated installation and training services. The contract is designated as a brand-name requirement for Karl Storz equipment to ensure compatibility with approximately 750,000 dollars of existing camera equipment, including video processors, light sources, and monitors.
