Background and Requirement: The VA Medical Center located in San Antiono; 7400 Merton Minter., San Antiono, Tx 782299 is needing a Da Vinci Surgical Robotic System and related instruments and accessories; Ion Endoluminal System with instruments and accessories; current digital products, digital services, upgrades and accessories for the Operating Room for proper fitting. The contractor shall provide all services listed in the equipment description below, meeting all technical specifications as seen, for the purpose of maintaining and supporting the Da Vinci Surgical Robotic System and related instruments and accessories; Ion Endoluminal System with instruments and accessories; current digital products, digital services, upgrades and accessories. The contractor shall provide all required services, labor, travel, and parts for VA software and equipment listed below in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer specification. These items are sourced directly from the OEM. All services provided must be performed by OEM-certified personnel. Contractor shall provide a complete service report upon delivery of any service calls to Operating Room Department.
The vendor shall have the ability to connect to the system remotely through an approved VA VPN connection for troubleshooting purposes. The vendor shall have the ability to apply all upgrades, Field Change Orders to ensure the system is maintained to manufacturer s standards to include software and quality updates. The vendor shall provide all coverages and benefits normally given in their commercial service and support agreements.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, Contractors may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the contracting officer whether to continue with the procurement or to provide for competition. Due to technical issues, please allow additional time if you re using electronic means. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete with the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 17, will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine if a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. Also, prospective contractors shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller to the Department of Veterans Affairs for the proposed equipment/system such that OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the equipment/system shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with Response to this Intent. All documents submitted will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed to Contracting Specialist, Michelle Cunningham. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support this requirement.
