The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio, Texas, is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to identify capable vendors for the procurement of an EnSite X EP System, a sophisticated catheter navigation and cardiac mapping device used in electrophysiology procedures. This notice is not a solicitation but serves to gather information about the availability and qualifications of various business types, including service-disabled veteran-owned, veteran-owned, small, HUBZone, women-owned, and large businesses. The VA intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price contract for the purchase and installation of this system at the Audie L. Murphy VA Medical Center’s Heart Center Services Department, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab. Vendors with items on the Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) are encouraged to respond with their FSS numbers to assist in acquisition planning. The contract scope includes delivery and on-site installation of the EnSite X system and associated equipment, which supports 3-dimensional mapping and electrical activity monitoring of patients’ heart chambers to aid in diagnosing and treating arrhythmias. Installation must be coordinated with the Contracting Officer Representative to minimize disruption to patient care, occurring during normal operating hours excluding federal holidays. The system components include the EnSite X EP System, Contact Force Module, Ampere Generator Kit and Remote Control, Cool Point Irrigation Pump, ViewMate Multi Ultrasound system, and WorkMate Claris Recording System, among others. The required system operates at standard electrical specifications and is intended exclusively for use in diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology procedures. Responses to this notice are due by June 15, 2026, and will guide the VA in determining the acquisition method and potential set-aside options.
