The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 19 in Greenwood Village, Colorado, intends to award a sole source contract to Mentor Worldwide, LLC for the procurement of all sizes and varieties of Mentor sizers and expanders. These products, including Artoura Tissue Expanders, CPX4 Plus Tissue Expanders, 21 Gauge Winged Infusion Sets, and various saline and memory gel breast implant sizers, are essential for surgical procedures at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center where only Mentor implants are used for breast cancer patients. The sizers and expanders are specifically required to ensure accurate sizing and aesthetic outcomes during augmentation mammoplasty, with the unique surgical tabs providing secure positioning, making alternative products incompatible and inappropriate for these surgeries. Mentor is identified as the sole manufacturer capable of supplying these items, aligning with the North American Industry Classification System code 339113, which covers surgical appliance and supplies manufacturing. This notice is issued in accordance with federal acquisition regulations to inform interested parties of the sole source procurement and to invite any potential capability statements by June 1, 2022, though it is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested suppliers are encouraged to submit documentation verifying their ability to meet the government’s requirements, including relevant specifications or brochures, to the designated contract specialist via email. The government reserves the right to proceed with the sole source award based on responsiveness without incurring any obligations or costs from respondents. The contract specialist overseeing this procurement is available for contact to clarify details as needed.
