The Department of Veterans Affairs, New York Harbor Healthcare System at the Manhattan Campus, plans to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract to Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc. for the procurement of a PerioLase MVP-7 dental laser. This device will be used across the dental clinic for periodontal and peri-implant procedures noted for producing high levels of aerosol. Unlike traditional methods, the laser reduces airborne particles, helping to improve air quality in the clinic environment. The purchase aligns with recommendations from the ADA and CDC to utilize equipment that minimizes airborne viral particles in dental settings. The PerioLase MVP-7 is uniquely recognized by the FDA for its laser-assisted new attachment protocol (LANAP), the only scientifically supported method for true periodontal regeneration. This notice serves as a formal intent to award a sole source contract and is not an invitation for competitive proposals, with no solicitation planned. Responses submitted by interested parties by September 11, 2020, will be reviewed solely for future sourcing considerations, and any information provided is voluntary and non-compensable. The contract, identified by solicitation number 36C24220Q1195, falls under NAICS code 334510 and is managed by the 242-NETWORK Contract Office 02 based in Albany, New York, with the contracting officer Paul Speedling as the point of contact. This represents the government’s only notification regarding its intention to solicit, negotiate, and award this contract solely to Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc.
