Full Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE The RPO East/NCO 6 Contracting Office, Hampton, Virginia, intends to award a sole source purchase order to Hitachi Healthcare Americas Corporation. This stems from a result of them being the only authorized service provider of Hitachi Arietta 60 Ultrasound Systems and products. The Salem VA Medical Center is in need of replacement parts for their Hitachi Arietta 60 Ultrasounds to compliment an already existing capability. The Hitachi Arietta 60 parts are the only parts that will be compatible for this requirement. Hitachi Healthcare Americas Corporation has sole source provision and this authority will be utilized for this procurement. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b). The anticipated award date is 31 July 2020. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services listed above. Deadline date for the submittals is 31 July 2020 at 0900 (9am) Eastern Standard Time. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
