Special Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 17, intends to award a firm-fixed priced contract to BECKMAN COULTER, INC for the delivery of Access BNP Reagents compatible with the Beckman Immunochemistry Instrumentation. The Access BNP test is the only BNP test approved by the FDA that is exclusively made to work on our current Beckman Coulter Immunochemistry Analyzers. Period of Performance for one year: Plus (4) one-year options. The proposed sole source procurement will be made by an open market pricing agreement with Beckman Coulter INC. Beckman Coulter hereby confirms that has entered into definitive agreements to acquire from Quidel Corporation the distribution rights of the lab-based BNP assay, which is run on Beckman Coulter analyzers This notice is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. A contract will not be awarded based on an offer received in response to this notice; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Proposals or offers received will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the government. If no affirmative written response is received within 10 days from the publication of this notice, a contract will be issued to RDC.
