This notice is being published in accordance with Revolutionary FAR Overhaul Federal Acquisition Regulation (RFO FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Euroimmun US Incorporated, the sole authorized U.S. distributor of T SPOT.TB® reagents and associated kits manufactured by Oxford Immunotec. These reagents are required for tuberculosis testing at VA Western New York Healthcare System (VAWNYHS) Buffalo VA Medical Center (VAMC).
This determination is made in accordance with RFO FAR 12.201-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The T SPOT.TB® assay is a patented IGRA platform, and its reagents including the antigen panels, controls, and AIM V media are proprietary and FDA cleared only for use with the OEM platform. Oxford Immunotec holds the exclusive patent rights, and Euroimmun US Incorporated is the only supplier legally authorized to provide these FDA approved reagents for federal healthcare facilities. No other vendor can supply reagents that meet FDA, CLIA, CAP, and Joint Commission requirements.
This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by submitting a:
