NOTICE OF INTENT The New Mexico VA Health Care System, Albuquerque, NM intends to negotiate a SOLE SOURCE contract; under authority of FAR 6.302-1, with Cepheid, 904 Caribbean Drive, Sunnyvale, CA, 94089 for the procurement of Cepheid Reagents to perform MRSA, Flu and C Diff testing utilizing their Cepheid GeneXpert, System Model DX. These supplies will be procured in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items. Sole source determination is made in accordance with FAR Part 13.501 See attached Justification & Approval for details This is not a request for quotes and a solicitation package will not be issued. Sources interested in responding to this requirement must be able to provide compelling evidence that they can provide the above mentioned requirement as specified. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contractual action based upon responses received is solely within the discretion of the government.
