This is a notice of intent to issue a contract to Illumina, Inc., 9885 Towne Centre Dr., San Diego, CA 92121-1975, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement is for HumanHT-12 v4 Expression Beadchip Kit (6 pack) and MouseRef-8 v2 Expression BeadChip (6 pack). The Laboratory scanner will only read Illumina arrays due to the increase in resolution necessary to capture the image data. Illumina arrays are only available through the company so must be ordered as sole source items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is AND THE SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED AS AN NOTICE OF INTENT.
