GRAVITY METER: This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source to ZLS Corporation, Austin, TX. The requirement is for the procurement of one Burris Gravity Meter IAW the salient characteristics posted below. The gravity meter MUST meet the following characteristics: Calibrated at 50 mGal points on its 7000 mGal range screw. Must have a 50 mGal Pulse Width Modulation Feedback system with a resolution of .0001 gGal. Must have a metal zero length spring system designed for Pulse Width Modulation reading. Must possess a clamping mechanism to ensure high accuracy and eliminates hysteresis errors from transporting the meter. Requires an operator direct control of the micrometer screw via the dial. Must be field use ready. To the knowledge of the USGS, ZLS Corporation is the only source capable of meeting all the described requirements. Vendor must provide manufacturer, part number, and extended specifications of the exact model being proposed for items. No exceptions. Failure to provide this information may result in a "non-responsive" quote and removal from award consideration. New equipment only. No remanufactured or "gray market" items. All items must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Estimated award date is 06/8/2018. Responses are due no later than 06/06/2018 1300 ESD.
