The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) is set to negotiate a sole-source contract with ORBIT Advanced Technologies, Inc. for the procurement of two advanced Antenna Measurement Systems. These systems are designed to enhance existing and new anechoic chambers used for antenna testing and development critical to NRL's spacecraft communication and payload requirements. The first system is tailored for a current 125-inch tapered anechoic chamber, featuring comprehensive receive and transmit antenna positioning controls, polarization switches, and integrated hardware and software for command, data collection, and analysis. The second system is intended for a new rectangular anechoic chamber under construction, with similar but slightly different specifications in axis control and integrated technology to support antenna measurements. This contract, identified as "66 -- Instrumentation Upgrade for Antenna Design Facility," references solicitation number N00173-05-R-JR12 and is being conducted under other than full and open competition provisions, limited to ORBIT Advanced Technologies as the sole responsible source. The procurement reflects NRL’s ongoing commitment to advancing its antenna design capabilities, essential for its spacecraft missions. Interested parties can contact Contracting Officer Patricia A Lewis for further details, and other NRL contracting opportunities are accessible through their dedicated website.
